SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA – WFUNA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU), under the auspices of United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on 27 May 2016 at the LTLT Room, APCEIU.
Through this MOU, we will work together in promoting Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in the various areas, including collaboration in organizing UN and UNESCO meetings, workshops and seminars on GCED, mutual assistance in the youth programmes for promotion of GCED and overall cooperation on the areas as agreed upon.
During the 66th UN DPI/NGO Conference, which was held in Hwabaek International Convention Center, Gyeongju from 30 May to 1 June 2016, APCEIU and WFUNA co-organized a workshop on ‘Cross Sector partnerships for Global Citizenship Education’ and ‘Bridging Formal and Non-formal Education through Global Citizenship Education’.
