Agra, India – The second WIMUN International Regional Conference took place in Agra, India from April 29 to May 3, 2017, bringing together over 200 students from 10 countries.
During the week-long conference, participants heard from speakers Derk Segaar, Director of UNIC India and Bhutan, Gary Fowlie, Head of ITU Liaison Office to the United Nations, Sundeep Bhutoria, WFUNA Treasurer representing the WFUNA Foundation, Bill Yotive, WFUNA Model UN Coordinator, Frances Lee, WFUNA Model UN Program Associate, and Prakriti Sharma, MUNCafe Project Head.
Participants also discussed Information and Communication Technologies for Development, Women Empowerment and its link to the SDGs, Youth Empowerment and its link to the SDGs, Women, Peace and Security, and Counter-Terrorism and the SDGs.
