Introduction

The WHO Extension Program is an advanced educational experience designed exclusively for university students attending Global Model WHO 2026. Taking place immediately before the conference, the program explores how the World Health Organization operates beyond formal meetings and resolutions, providing participants with a deeper understanding of global health governance through direct engagement with experts, institutional perspectives, and interactive learning experiences. Rather than simulating WHO processes, participants examine the Organization from within, gaining valuable context before transitioning directly into Global Model WHO.

The Global Model WHO Extension Program will take place on 9 November 2026, immediately before Global Model WHO 2026. It is exclusively available to university students registered for the conference and can be added as an optional component during the MyMUN registration process. As capacity is limited to 40 students, participants are encouraged to register by the Priority Registration Deadline to secure their place.

The participation fee is USD 200 for the one-day program. The program includes expert-led sessions, interactive-roundtable discussions with WHO staff, program materials, and a WFUNA Certificate of Participation upon completion.
