The Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education, in collaboration with WFUNA, launched a pre-education program for 26 students from 26 middle and high schools, all participants in the Thailand Global Citizenship Project-Based International Exchange Program. This initiative uses a project-based learning approach aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), integrating school curricula with both online and offline international exchanges. The program aimed to enhance students’ communication skills, cultural understanding, and knowledge of the SDGs.
The pre-education program consisted of five sessions, beginning on April 13th with an inaugural ceremony, ice-breaking activities, and lectures on the SDGs. Students were divided into four groups, each selecting a specific goal and target for in-depth study. Their focus areas included the targets of Goals 12, 13, and 16.
From May to July, the program continued with additional sessions featuring lectures on the selected SDGs, the development of presentation materials, and team-based activities such as cultural exchanges and social impact campaigns. Through this comprehensive approach, students gained a deeper understanding of the SDGs, developed greater inclusivity towards global diversity, and built a foundation for becoming true global citizens.
