Aziel Philippos Goulandris

Aziel Philippos Goulandris has been the Secretary-General of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) since October 2023, after a decade of dedicated service and leadership to the Organization. He holds dual M.A. degrees in Geopolitics and International Relations from King’s College London and the University of Bordeaux, along with a B.A. in Law. Throughout his career at WFUNA, he has served as Education Officer, Director of the Geneva Office, and Deputy Secretary-General, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the organization’s global reach, strengthening its programs, and extending the network of UN Associations. Beyond WFUNA, his experience includes having served as a Legal Advisor, a Human Rights and Humanitarian Expert at the Greek Permanent Mission to the UN in Geneva, and as a Legal Officer for the French Coast Guard Service. His engagement with civil society began during his university years, laying the foundation for his ongoing commitment to international cooperation and advocacy. He is fluent in Greek, French, English, and Spanish.

Afroditi Anastasaki
Education & Training Officer

Afroditi Anastasaki

Afroditi Anastasaki is WFUNA’s Education and Training Officer. In her role, she leads WFUNA’s global education and training activities, and coordinates strategic partnerships. Prior to WFUNA, Afroditi has worked for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), CERN, the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations in Geneva, the University of Geneva, and the UN High Commissioner for the Refugees (UNHCR), in Athens. Afroditi holds a BA in International and European Affairs, and a MSc. in Innovation, Human Development, and Sustainability from the University of Geneva.

Senior Program Officer

Finn Carlson

Finn Carlson is WFUNA’s Senior Program Officer. In this capacity, he is in charge of managing WFUNA’s educational programs focused on bridging the gap between the United Nations and civil society, especially young people. Finn has been with WFUNA for over 7 years, serving in various roles and capacities. Prior to joining WFUNA, Finn worked at the United Nations and the European Union. Finn holds a BA in International Studies and a Msc in Political Science from Leiden University.

Seoul Office Coordinator

Peter Youngjin Lee

Peter Youngjin Lee is the Seoul Office Coordinator at the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), where he has worked for over a decade since joining the organization in March 2016. Based in Seoul, he leads and coordinates a wide range of international education, youth leadership, and multilateral engagement initiatives in collaboration with universities, UN agencies, and institutional partners across different regions. Over the years, Peter has contributed to the development and implementation of numerous global education and training programs, working closely with students, educators, diplomats, and young professionals from around the world. He first became involved with WFUNA as a trainer at the WFUNA Youth Camp: Korea in 2016 and has since played an active role in expanding WFUNA’s international educational outreach and global youth initiatives. Prior to joining WFUNA, he served as an Interpretation Officer and Protocol Officer in the Republic of Korea Navy. Peter holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Hanyang University and completed graduate coursework in International Development Cooperation at Korea University Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS).

Education and Outreach Associate

Polina Melnikova

Polina Melnikova is WFUNA’s Education and Outreach Associate, responsible for planning and managing WFUNA’s training programs, as well as fostering strategic partnerships. She plays a key role in engaging with national United Nations Associations and supporting global initiatives that promote international cooperation and diplomacy. Polina holds a BA in International Politics from King’s College London, a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University London, and an MA in International Relations from the Geneva School of Diplomacy. She has experience in international law, trade, and policy, having worked at firms such as Clyde & Co and Glencore UK Ltd. Additionally, she contributed to strengthening WFUNA’s network by working on membership development and assisting in the organization of the 43rd WFUNA Plenary Assembly in Tbilisi, Georgia. Fluent in English, French, and Russian, Polina has a deep understanding of global governance and diplomacy. Her experience in Model United Nations, legal research, and humanitarian outreach, including her work with the Monaco Red Cross, reflects her commitment to international collaboration and capacity-building.

Senior Education Officer and Content Manager

Bill Yotive

Mr. William Yotive is currently the Senior Education Officer and Content Manager for WFUNA where he is responsible for planning conferences and developing educational materials and curricula for Model UN training purposes globally. Mr. Yotive has also served as the Curriculum Director for the WFUNA summer youth program in the Republic of Korea that focused on teaching students of all ages about their Sustainable Development Goals. Before joining WFUNA, Mr. Yotive spent over 14 years leading the United Nations Global Teaching and Learning Project, creating educational materials about the UN for schools around the world. He also served as the UN Secretariat’s Focal Point for Model UN, helping to organize three groundbreaking conferences between 2009 and 2011 —the first Model UN events ever organized directly by the United Nations. While a staff member in the Education Outreach Section of the Department of Public Information (now called the Department of Global Communications), Mr. Yotive wrote the United Nations Guide to Model UN which was recently cited in a UN General As-sembly resolution on Model UN (A/RES/77/336). Prior to working at the UN, Mr. Yotive was a Director of Research at Sesame Workshop which produces educational television programs for children, such as Sesame Street. He has designed and conducted many studies to evaluate the impact that these programmes have on the cognitive, social and emotional development of children. Mr. Yotive is an Advisory Council Member of the Committee on Teaching about the United Nations and also serves on the International Institute on Peace Education Trans-national Advisory Group. In addition, he is currently a Senior Scholar at the University of Memphis School of Global Health and an Off-Campus Instructor in the Global Com-petency Center and Int’l Career Development Instruction Studio at Zhejiang University in China.

Partnerships Officer

Luis Guilherme Silva Matias

Luis Guilherme is the Partnerships Officer at WFUNA. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing and managing relationships with schools and universities worldwide, working closely with faculty advisors to integrate global learning experiences into their academic journeys and foster a deeper engagement with international cooperation. Luis Guilherme holds a Master’s degree in Consumer Behavior from ESPM, where he is also a professor and researcher focused on participatory futures and community-driven policy design in the Amazon Rainforest.

Business Development Consultant

Zoe Ellingwood

Zoe Ellingwood serves as Business Development Consultant, and brings a background in international education, business development, and strategic partnerships to her role at the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA). She leads partnership development for WFUNA’s flagship programs, including Global Model United Nations, United Nations training programs, and Act4Impact, working with universities, corporations, and organizations to expand access to high-impact experiential learning opportunities. A 2024 graduate of Clark University with a B.A. in Political Science and Genocide Studies & Human Rights, Zoe has built, grown, and scaled Model United Nations programs across North America and Europe. She also serves as a Diplomacy Fellow with Best Delegate and coaches students through the collegiate admissions process. Passionate about experiential learning, youth civic engagement, and global leadership development, Zoe works at the intersection of education, diplomacy, and partnership strategy to create opportunities that empower the next generation of changemakers. She is based in Berlin, Germany.

Model UN Program Consultant

Lodovica Bellora

Lodovica is WFUNA’s Model UN Program Consultant. In her role, she supports WFUNA’s Model UN Program, with an emphasis on managing and planning Global Model UN conferences. With a background in Law and international relations, she brings her knowledge on strategic planning, communications and international cooperation to her position at WFUNA. She first joined WFUNA as Partnerships Consultant and, previously, as Secretariat member during WIMUN NY, Singapore and GMWHO 2025. Having been involved in MUNs across Europe, North America, and Asia for more than 13 years in a variety of capacities; she truly believes that these highly interactive experiences represent excellent opportunities that broaden horizons, enrich knowledge on the field, and enable young students to build a strong network.

Gooi Min Hsian

Gooi Min Hsian (Michelle) is the Communications and Marketing Consultant at WFUNA, where she drives major youth and education initiatives such as WIMUN and the Global Model WHO Conference. Her work spans strategic planning, team leadership, and communications, with a focus on building inclusive narratives and empowering young leaders. With a Master’s in International Management specializing in strategy and communication, Michelle brings an interdisciplinary lens that bridges psychology, the arts, and business. She is passionate about storytelling as a tool for connection and leadership development, and her work reflects a commitment to making global education initiatives both impactful and accessible.

Email Marketing Consultant

Dean Mtonga

Dean Mtonga (they/them) is an Email Marketing Consultant supporting WFUNA’s Global Model UN and education programs. In this role, they design and execute email strategies for institutional outreach, lead generation, and lead nurturing to expand participation from schools and universities worldwide. They bring several years of experience in digital marketing, sales, and customer success with international teams, with a focus on building email funnels, segmenting audiences, and improving engagement through data‑driven experimentation. Dean holds a BA (Hons) in Mass Communication with a major in Journalism from UCSI University and a Master of Arts in Communication Management from the University of Wollongong Malaysia. They are particularly interested in how digital tools can strengthen access to education and global citizenship for young people in the Global South. Dean is based in Lusaka, Zambia, and works remotely with WFUNA’s global team.
Hyunji Jo
Junior Consultant

Hyunji Jo

Hyunji Jo is a Training and Education Consultant at the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) Seoul Office, where she has been contributing to the organization’s education and youth engagement initiatives since joining the team in 2024. Based in Seoul, she develops and coordinates a range of youth education, global citizenship, and SDGs-related programs in collaboration with students, educators, and institutional partners. Since joining WFUNA, Hyunji has played an active role in organizing various educational initiatives, including the UN SDGs Youth Camp, Wave Statement, and the UN Youth Environmental Conference (UNYEC), with a particular focus on youth empowerment and global citizenship education. Prior to joining WFUNA, she founded a social cooperative dedicated to promoting Global Citizenship Education (GCED) for young people and also worked for the Campus Asia-AIMS program. Her academic and professional interests include GCED, international norms, and civil society engagement in global agenda-setting processes. Hyunji holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Yonsei University, where her research focused on Global Citizenship Education and global governance frameworks.

Design Consultant

Yeonji Lee

Yeonji Lee is the Design Consultant at the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA)’s Seoul Office. Since joining the organization in 2024, she has supported branding and visual communication initiatives across a wide range of programmes, campaigns, events, and institutional projects. Based in Seoul, she works closely with internal teams and external partners to develop cohesive visual communication materials that strengthen organizational identity, public engagement, and cross-cultural communication across both print and digital platforms. Prior to joining WFUNA, Yeonji worked across diverse creative and communication environments, including branding, editorial design, and digital media. Through these experiences, she developed expertise in strategic visual communication and cross-platform brand development. Yeonji majored in Visual Design and is interested in branding and visual communication in international and cross-cultural contexts.
Ida Marchese
Communications Consultant

Ida Marchese

Ida brings a strong background in Health Sciences, Biomedical Communications, strategic communications, social media management, and knowledge translation to her role with WFUNA. She has led communications across international and nonprofit spaces, including serving as Director of Communications for the Global Model WHO 2024 and Public Information Officer for the WIMUN New York conferences in 2025 and 2026. Beyond multilateral settings, Ida is an Executive Board Member and Co-Head of Marketing for the Women’s Nonprofit Network, where she advances advocacy and outreach initiatives. She has also contributed communications expertise to organizations such as UNITE 2030, the University of Toronto, and the Centre for Vaccine Preventable Diseases. Certified in Knowledge Translation from The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Ida is passionate about making complex ideas accessible and engaging through human-centered storytelling. Drawing on her interdisciplinary training, she works at the intersection of health, communications, and global development to amplify diverse voices, build inclusive platforms, and foster dialogue across borders. Through her multidisciplinary experience in research, community engagement, and digital communications, Ida continues to support organizations in strengthening their impact and reach on issues ranging from health equity and sustainable development to youth engagement.
