New Strategic Partnership for Training Programs

On November 12th, 2024, WFUNA entered a strategic partnership with Rowland Hall, a college-preparatory day school located in Utah, USA. WFUNA’s Secretary General signed the agreement with Ryan Hoglund, Director of Community Engagement and Impact, at Rowland Hall.
A panel was held in the library for Rowland Hall’s leadership lunch with the theme of “Finding Local Solutions to Global Dilemmas.” Both WFUNA and Utah Global Diplomacy were highlighted and spoke with the students regarding their work and the importance of finding ways to make an impact locally, while also comprehending the complexity of the task the United Nations faces in bringing the world together.
Nestled in the heart of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rowland Hall is Utah’s oldest independent coeducational college-preparatory day school. Their vision and proactive approach to “Developing People the World Needs” fits seamlessly with WFUNA’s mission of developing and educating Global Citizens worldwide.
A group of participants will travel to New York for an immersive Youth Training Program at the UN Headquarters and add this week-long opportunity to their impressive portfolio of exploratory programs provided to 9-11th grade students. A delegation will also attend the upcoming WFUNA International Model United Nations (WIMUN) conference that will feature 1,200 students from 90+ countries as they come together to engage in constructive negotiation, embrace diverse perspectives and develop the essential skills needed for effective and impactful diplomacy.
