GENEVA – Statement by WFUNA Executive Committee, Geneva, 28 April 2018
The Executive Committee of the World Federation of the United Nations Associations ( WFUNA) welcomes the historic Inter-Korean Summit Meeting at Panmunjom on 27 April, 2018 and its outcome announced in the Panmunjom Declaration for Peace, Prosperity, and Unification of the Korean Peninsula by the leaders of the two Koreas.
The Executive Committee extends its full support for the joint commitment and actions of the two sides. As contained in the Declaration, the common goal is the complete denuclearization and build a lasting peace on the Korean Peninsula and to improve inter-Korean relations.
The Executive Committee earnestly hopes that the concrete actions and measures are taken in a speedy and constructive manner to fully implement the Panmunjom Declaration and the long sought-after permanent peace.
