On November 21, 2025, WFUNA organized the 66th instalment in a series of monthly dialogues between the President of the UN Security Council and Civil Society organizations. The Dialogue was held in-person at United Nations Headquarters, broadcasted live on UN Web TV and promoted on social media with the hashtag #MeetUNSCPres to allow for a participation from a global audience and wider stakeholder engagement.

The dialogue featured Mr. Alan E. GeorgePolitical Coordinator of the Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the UN, and was moderated by Mr. Bill Yotive, of WFUNA.

Mr. George shared the Council’s programme of work for the month of November. He spoke about meetings scheduled for the month and focus areas, such as conflict-related food insecurity, climate-related security risks, the proliferation of small arms and light weapons and the inclusion of youth in peace and security processes.
The floor was then opened for questions from representatives of civil society organizations, inquiring on conflict in Sudan, Haiti, and the role of civil society. In his commentary, the Coordinator stressed the necessity of youth and civil society involvement in peace-building practices.
