WFUNA Peace Fellows Programme 2022 Summer
The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized the Peace Fellows Programme (PFP) from July 25 to 29, 2022. Started in 2020, this short-term, selective program provides a unique opportunity for undergraduates and junior scholars to investigate firsthand the long-lasting effects of conflicts in diverse region including Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.

On July 5th 2022, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) convened virtually the fourty-third instalment in a series of monthly dialogues between the President of the UN Security Council and Civil Society Organizations.
Civil Society Dialogue with Ambassador Hoxha of Albania
On June 3rd 2022, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized the fourty-second instalment in a series of monthly dialogues between the President of the UN Security Council and Civil Society organizations.
The dialogue featured H.E. Mr. Ferit Hoxha, Permanent Representative of Albania to the UN. WFUNA’s Director of Geneva Office, Mr. Aziel Goulandris, moderated the briefing, which was virtually attended by approximately 65 civil society organizations who RSVPed from different parts of the world.
WFUNA hosts the 2022 UN Security Council Election Briefing
On May 10, 2022, WFUNA held a UNSC Election Briefing with all UN Security Council candidates seeking election for a non-permanent seat on the Council for the 2023-2024 term. All candidates were ‘clean-slate’ candidates, currently running unopposed.

Civil Society Dialogue with Ambassador Woodward of the United Kingdom
On April 20, 2022, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized the forty-first meeting in a series of monthly dialogues between the President of the UN Security Council and representatives of civil society organizations. WFUNA's CSO Dialogues aim to increase transparency and accountability as well as civil society access to important UN mechanisms.
WFUNA Peace Talk on Ukraine
On March 9, 2022, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized the Peace Talk on Ukraine in Seoul, ROK. More than 30 participants including diplomats, international organization professionals, journalists, and WFUNA Peace Fellows joined the event, and around 20 College Leaders at the UN (CLUN) virtually attended the event through Zoom.
WFUNA Holds Fourth Annual UN Security Council Exit Briefing
On February 22, 2022, WFUNA hosted the fourth UNSC Exit Briefing with four of the five countries leaving the Security Council after the 2020-2021 term.
The goal of these briefings is to provide a space for Ambassadors to share their experiences as elected members of the Council, reflect upon successes and challenges, and provide recommendations for the incoming “Elected 10”. This is a part of a series of initiatives that WFUNA organizes to increase transparency and civil society access to UN processes.

Started in 2020, this short-term, selective program provides a unique opportunity for young scholars to observe the long-lasting effects of war, the local realities of the global discourse on peace, and the recent developments for peace in the globe, with the purpose of building of the capacity of youth to effectively engage peace issues.

On January 6th 2022, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) organized the fortieth instalment in a series of monthly dialogues between the President of the UN Security Council and Civil Society organizations. To uphold transparency and accountability at the UNSC amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the CSO Dialogue was held online via Zoom Meetings in lieu of its standard meeting location at the United Nations Headquarters.
