Tanya Kar is the Education and Training Officer at WFUNA's New York office. Her background is in Political Science and Economics, and she holds a Master's in International Development from The New School. Previously, she served as the Senior Program Manager for the Permanent Observer Mission of the International Chamber of Commerce to the United Nations in New York. She conducted the inaugural econometric analysis of Uganda's housing market with the World Bank, as well as research with UN Women on food insecurity among women and children in developing countries, and with UNICEF on child poverty in the Arab states. She also taught undergraduate Economics at various universities in the city.
