Lukas G. Schlapp is one of two German Youth Delegates to the UN General Assembly for the year 2018. He is enrolled as a student at the Goethe-University in Frankfurt (Main) majoring in art history and political science. In 2012/13 Lukas was an exchange student in the United States of America for one year. In 2015/16, he was a volunteer in a cultural sports project for 12 months in South India. All together, Lukas lived in Brazil, India and the U.S. for about 3,5 years. Following his year in India, he did a cultural voluntary year at the Städel Museum, the most renowned museum foundation in Germany. Lukas is an active member of the social democratic party, worked as a supervisor in language camps for young people and is member in the association “Auroville International Germany”, which wants to promote the future-oriented project and city Auroville. During his time in school and his cultural voluntary year, he was already actively involved in several representational tasks. Therefore, he is looking forward to represent the German youth at the United Nations.
