Armine Podosyan has been serving as the President of the United Nations Association of Armenia (AUNA) since 2008 and was elected as a member of the Executive Committee of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) at the 40th WFUNA Plenary Assembly. She started with AUNA as co-founder from the very establishment of the organization in 2005. She has led the development of AUNA policies and strategies, fundraising, supervision and administration of the programs conducted by the organization. Ms. Podosyan has an extensive knowledge, and progressive 20-year experience in the civil society sector and in various organizations such as Center for Health Services Research & Development of American University of Armenia Fund, Armenian Center for Integration and Democratization NGO, Young Men’s Christian Association Armenia NGO, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies/International Post-Traumatic Rehabilitation Center. Armine holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from American University of Armenia and conducted researches on Consequences of Trafficking on Women’s Health, Progress Report on MDG’s, Kurdish Minority Study in Armenia etc.
