The 8th edition of Human Rights in Action will take place at the end of the month, bringing representatives from 18 countries to Geneva for a week of project management training with the goal of returning to their countries to implement their projects throughout the course of the year. In advance of this year’s training, WFUNA has partnered with the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights and the International Organization for Migration.
The Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights with the #Standup4humanrights campaign. They are calling on people around the world to become human rights champions by taking the pledge, adding your voice, and telling your story.
The International Organization for Migration has launched the TOGETHER App, where users can share their stories and actions in the form of photos, videos and other multimedia content; counter xenophobia and racism in their communities and invite friends and family to participate in the global movement to promote diversity and inclusion.
Students who participate in this year’s Human Rights in Action training will take the pledge to stand up for human rights and join the TOGETHER app. WFUNA is very pleased to be a part of these campaigns promoting human rights for all.
