Mohammed Iqbal Omar
Mohammed Iqbal Omar (or Mo) will serve as the Secretary-General for WIMUN New York 2025. He attended his first WIMUN conference in 2016 and has since participated in multiple past WIMUN conference in roles ranging from delegate to Secretary-General. Outside of MUN, Mo has worked with the Governments of Delhi, Uttarakhand and Tripura on the implementation of education programs impacting 2.4 Million underprivileged students. He is currently an entrepreneur operating multiple business in the fields of marketing, F&B and construction.

Savannah Jamora
Savannah is the Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management for WIMUN New York 2025. She discovered her passion for Model UN while attending her first WIMUN conference in 2015 and is dedicated to the education and empowerment of youth as global citizens. She holds a BA/BCom in International Relations and International Business and is currently undertaking a Juris Doctor degree. Savannah sends her best to all delegates and encourages them to inspire one another, bring new ideas and initiatives, and spread the WIMUN spirit.

Gooi Min Hsian
Gooi Min Hsian, hailing from Malaysia, will serve as the Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications for WIMUN New York 2025. As a Master’s student in International Management at Geneva Business School, she combines her expertise in education, psychology, and marketing with a passion for storytelling through graphic design. Fluent in multiple languages, Michelle enjoys creating engaging visuals that bring global issues to life. Her leadership roles and involvement in educational initiatives reflect her dedication to youth empowerment and effective communication. Known for her creative flair and collaborative spirit, Michelle is excited to support delegates and contribute to an inspiring and impactful WIMUN experience.

Sarthak Ojha
Sarthak is a sophomore at the Jindal School of International Affairs. Having been involved in MUNs for over seven years now, he promises to bring the best to the table when it comes to substance and negotiations. Presently involved in developing research on just war theory and terrorism, he holds avid interests in diplomatic practice. Finally, he has special commitments to SDG 16, and when he is not working on that, you can catch him binge-watching his favorite movies, reading poetry or deep into journaling!

Mashkur Isa
Dr. Mashkur Isa is a multifaceted global health advocate, climate activist, and youth empowerment leader. An Erasmus Mundus Alumni, Mashkur has extensive expertise in organizational management, network mobilization, and strategic planning. He has applied these skills effectively in various capacities, including coordinating projects and organizing events. Currently, he serves as the Global Focal Point of YOUNGO, the children and youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). As the Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications at WIMUN New York 2024, he provided exceptional support and aims to contribute to another successful edition of WIMUN New York.

Sofia Quadrini
Sofia is a passionate and dedicated student of International Relations and Law at the University of Geneva. With a profound interest in addressing pressing global challenges, she thrives in collaborative environments and is committed to the ideals of diplomacy and the United Nation’s core values. She has been an active member of Geneva International Model United Nations for 3 years as well as being Co-Head of Popaedia, which aims towards youth engagement within the international scene. She is looking forward to encourage international cooperation further for the next generation through her involvement with WIMUN.

Emil Vincent Prause
Emil Prause is a computer science student at the Technical University of Munich. He interned at a startup implementing Germany’s first testbed for commercial drone operations, sponsored by the Ministry of Transport, and now works as a research assistant developing cutting-edge logistics technologies, cultivating and deepening his interest in exploring the societal implications of disruptive technologies and their intersection with politics. Through his prior work with WIMUN and his engagement with Sailsetters, a student initiative creating equal opportunities for children, he actively devotes his time to empowering young people. Emil aims to make this WIMUN the best yet!

Fernanda Vidoti de Castro
Fernanda is a Brazilian photographer, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Photography from Senac – São Paulo with part of the university being done in Cinema and Latin American Art at UNAM – Mexico City.
Her focus is family photography and her purpose is to record important moments of life such as: births, birthdays and family photoshoots. She is very interested in different cultures and is therefore very excited to capture WIMUN NY in photos and videos. This is her second participation in WIMUN as a Public Information Officer.

Jaohara Hatabi
Jaohara, a 25-year-old student from Italy, holds a Master’s degree in European and International Policies from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart and a BA in International Studies from the University of Trento. She is currently attending a second-level MA in Strategic Studies and International Security with the Italian Navy. Her academic pursuits reflect her dedication to exploring complex issues at the intersection of international relations, security studies, and military history.

Ana Paula Herrejón
Ana Paula is a law student at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) in Mexico City, who supplemented her studies with internships in tax and civil law firms. In addition to her qualifications, she holds a certificate in Leadership from the Colegio de México (COLMEX) and the Harvard Kennedy School. Ana Paula has been an active participant in Model United Nations conferences for more than eight years and shows a keen interest in international politics, public, and constitutional law.

Ximena Barrientos
With a decade of experience in the MUN community, Ximena Barrientos brings a deep passion for international affairs to her role as Assistant Secretary-General for Specialized Agencies and other entities this year. Her journey has taken her from serving as a delegate multiple times to chairing committees and contributing to the secretariat of past WIMUN conferences. Ximena’s commitment to global issues extends beyond extracurricular activities, as she is currently pursuing a minor in foreign policy and diplomacy at UNAM. When not immersed in academics, she finds joy in exploring diverse cultures as well as their cuisines, embracing new musical genres that resonate with her, and indulging in the storytelling magic of cinema.

Alice is a 23-year-old student of European and International Studies at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan (Italy). Alice graduated in International Relations and Foreign Languages in Milan with a bachelor’s degree dissertation on Chinese Belt and Road Initiative. Recently, Alice carried out a four-month internship at NATO SHAPE as an associate analyst. Alice is a determinate, sympathetic and curious person with a strong attitude for geopolitics, international relations and diplomacy. While not studying Alice loves watching movies, cooking and traveling.

Ana Julia is 19 years old and is currently a Law Student at the University of São Paulo in Brazil. She got into model UN early into her high school years and this will be her fourth WIMUN,the first one as Chair! She is very much interested in all forms of communication and debated and has participated in competitive debate in the last few years, as well as exploring other Simulations, such as a presidential election model simulation. Aside from her insatiable interest in debating and public speaking, Ana Julia loves cinema and is currently pursuing a goal of watching 366 movies this year!

Andrea is a mexican student at Tecnológico de Monterrey majoring in Robotics Engineering. She has been involved in MUN since she was 13 years old and have attended 4 times WIMUN as delegate and as chair. She has also participated in multiple conferences within Mexico and Peru; standing out conferences such as the HNMUN. She is the president of the student council of Robotics Engineering and leads different student groups advocating for women in STEM and universal access to education.

Aninda Annisa
Aninda is an Indonesian currently studying master’s in Environmental Management and Policy at Lund University, Lund, Sweden. Prior to pursuing her master’s study, she graduated bachelor’s degree in management and had working experience in circular economy, sustainability research, and environmental policy for around 3 years. Her passion for international issues revolves around equal and responsible development, climate change, and sustainability justice. MUN was one of her way of channeling these interests while studying business management. She had been actively participating in MUN both as a participant and as a chair since 2018. Aninda looks forward to meeting and contribute in WIMUN 2025.

Arko Jyoti Mitra
Arko Jyoti Mitra, a final year law student, has been into the field of public speaking ever since Class 3 and eventually immersed himself into MUNs in the year 2014. His interest, primarily, lies in the tenets of negotiations and how psychoanalysis plays a quintessential role in it. Having attended a multitude of national and international MUNs, AJ feels that MUNs help an individual to rediscover themself in a manner which remains unprecedented. While not studying, you’ll find Arko talking for hours about Formula 1 and music.

Christy is currently a student pursuing an International Baccalaureate Diploma at Hillel Academy in the country of Jamaica. She is currently the president of the Model United Nations Club at her school where she has excelled in the MUN setting, earning her experience as both a delegate and as a chair. Her passion for international relations and advocacy drives her commitment towards fostering awareness on global issues. Christy prioritizes mutual understanding and effective communication whilst emphasizing the importance of consensus in their dedication towards making a positive impact.

Eric Yu-Jui Chang
Eric is a graduate student in Chemical Engineering at the National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taipei. He holds a double degree of B.S. in Chemical Engineering and B.A. in Economics with a minor in International Relations from NTU. He is interested in energy, environment, and economics, particularly net-zero transition and techno-economic analysis. For the past 11 years, Eric has attended nearly 40 MUN conferences in roles ranging from Chair to Secretary-General. He is the current Vice President and Director of Academics of the NTUMUN Society. Having participated in various types of MUN, Eric firmly believes in the consensus-based problem-solving approach at WIMUN. He looks forward to building the authentic UN simulation and creating impacts with all WIMUN participants!

Francesca is a master student in European and International Policies at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan. After a semester at SciencesPo, Paris, within the framework of the Erasmus Programme, she conducted research on her Master Thesis at the Centre de Recherches Internationales (CERI) of SciencesPo. Passionate about International Relations and Strategic Studies, and with a particular interest in the Middle Eastern Region, Francesca is very curious, open to new experiences and always ready to listen to everyone’s needs. She emphasises the importance of consesus and of mutual understanding and is looking forward to give her contribution to the correct development of the WIMUN conference.

Giovanna Lopes dos Santos
Giovanna Lopes is an International Relations student at Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Brazil. Since 2019 she has participated in more than 15 Model UN simulations, as staff, delegate, vice-chair, chair, and Secretary General. She already has experience in WIMUN, and it is her second year in the conference, now persuing the role as Chair. Giovanna is intrigued by the allocation of rights in the world such as the ones stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. As a person who perceives inequality every day in São Paulo, she wants to develop capabilities in politics to help these people and change their lives.

Juan Pablo Camarena Cervera
Juan Pablo is a 22-year-old international relations graduate from Mexico. He first participated in a Model UN in 2017, where he discovered his passion for diplomacy, international, and humanitarian affairs. He has since continued this journey, having worked with the Mexican Senate and various think tanks on international affairs research and analysis. Also, he has worked with his state’s government on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda through education and public policies. In his free time, Juan Pablo enjoys doing volunteer work, being very active in organizations that promote quality education in vulnerable communities. He is committed to make this WIMUN the best experience for all delegates and to encourage them to realize theor potential to make a change in the world.

Lilliana Fan
Lilliana Fan is a final-year law student with a research interest in international law and international security. She is a Model UN enthusiast who believes in solving complex global challenges through diplomacy. Some of her MUN achievements include chairing Cambridge International MUN 2025, Harvard WorldMUN 2024, UCLMUN 2023, and winning Best judge in Oxford International MUN 2023. Lilliana is keen on upholding social justice through law and is currently serving as the President of Lawyers Without Borders at the University of Glasgow. In 2023, her research “the conformity of lethal autonomous weapons with international humanitarian law” was chosen for the undergraduate research conference ‘Lets Talk about X’. Passionate about legal journalism, she now serves as a senior editor for the Justice Gap and an editor for Glasgow University Law Review.

Keen on justice and international relations, Lodovica is a Law student at the University of Milan, Italy. Having been involved in MUNs across Europe, New York, Marrakesh and Shanghai for twelve years in a variety of capacities from Chair to Under-Secretary General, she truly believes that these highly interactive experiences represent excellent opportunities that broaden horizons, enrich knowledge on the field, and enable participants to build a strong network. Aside from taking part in as many exchanges, conferences, and academic competitions as possible; Lodovica is an active member of ELSA (The European Law Students’ Association), currently volunteering in the ELSA International Team. She is honored to serve as a Chair at WIMUN New York 2025, hoping to transmit her passion and enthusiasm for the conference to all the young students thrilled to leave their “student life” for a while and step into the role of diplomats!

Manuel Calderón Ruiz
Manuel holds a law degree with honors from Universidad de Lima, and currently works as a legal analyst for a private equity firm with investments throughout Latin America. As an extracurricular activity, he has been involved in Model UN since 2017, specifically with the WIMUN approach, which has fueled his passion for diplomacy and policymaking, including his participation as Secretary for the simulation of Intergovernmental Negotiations on the Reform of the Security Council in 2020. Dedicated to sustainability, he previously served as the Legal Director of the 180 Degrees Consulting branch at Universidad de Lima, supporting social projects in Peru through advisory with the support of consulting firms as strategic allies. Manuel is committed to driving positive change and inspiring future generations.

Mohammed Mamedov
Mohammed Mamedov is a graduate of Anglo-American University in Prague and currently is pursuing his LLM with SQE at Middlesex University in Dubai. Mohammed is from Azerbaijan, born in Russia. He believes that being a part of WIMUN is a fascinating opportunity because of advocating for justice and protection of equality, as well as human rights on the global arena. Despite politics and law, he likes playing the piano, traveling, cooking and fashion. Mohammed works in a local Emirati law firm, and as a licensed inspector of the luxury brands segment by ensuring the legal, as well as ethics compliance with the internal codes. Moreover, Mohammed is also a part of the 177th Noble Family in Azerbaijan.

Loretta Solís
Loretta is a student at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP) in Mexico, pursuing a double major in International Relations and Law. She is an active member of the honors program, which focuses on National Security and the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda. Loretta’s involvement in the Model United Nations began in 2015, and since then, she has participated in over 20 conferences, including notable events such as WIMUN, LAMUN, and a Model of the Organization of American States. Loretta is passionate about public speaking and fostering global connections. Her involvement in this field extends to organizing numerous TED talks, where she has served in various roles, both as a speaker and as a director. She recently participated in WIMUN NY 2024, where she was ILO Secretariat.

Ricardo is Chair to the ECOSOC Commission for Social Development for WIMUN New York 2025. Currently, he is an undergraduate law student in Mexico City with diverse and multidisciplinary interests, including studies on theories of law and justice as part an Ivy League college. Ricardo has taken part in numerous local and nation-wide social and academic projects, clerked at one of the world’s largest and most successful law firms, and worked at a law clinic offering his dedication and guidance along the way to anyone who would need it.

Srilakshmi Chidambaram
Srilakshmi Chidambaram is a postgraduate medical student from the Philippines, currently finishing her final year. She has been involved in MUN since 8th grade and has a special fondness for scientific councils, especially the WHO and FAO. She served as the national chairperson for health policy in the APMC-SN during the 2023-2024 fiscal year and is also the secretary of her university’s Philippines Red Cross youth wing. She is incredibly passionate about health literacy and communicating the public threat of antimicrobial resistance, a problem that she tackled in her third year research project. Srilakshmi aspires to work in infectious disease and medical microbiology in the future, and hopes she can wrought positive change in the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship policies. She’s thrilled to be chairing the World Health Assembly in WIMUN NY ’25!

Abdul Aziz is participating in his first-ever WIMUN conference as a Conference Management Officer. With a background in International Relations and Economics, he enjoys actively engaging in diplomacy and debates and has been a delegate at many MUNs in Pakistan and Geneva. He views this experience with WFUNA/WIMUN as an opportunity to practice his project management skills, meet a diverse group of people, and engage with them positively.

Benny Hwang
Benny is an undergraduate studying international affairs with a concentration in security policies at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. While he has diverse experience attending and managing multiple MUN conferences, this would be his first WIMUN Conference, and he would serve as the Conference Management Officer. He is excited to deliver WIMUN participants the experience of the closest UN simulation conference in the world. Bogdan Janakov
Bogdan has long experience in participating in and organizing UN simulations. Starting with local simulations, he went international within a year, attending his first WIMUN in 2024. Bogdan Janakov is also very interested in politics and is involved in its development in Estonia as much as he can, participating in local simulations and through the youth party, particularly in the organization of the election campaign for deputies to the European Parliament.

Inês Sofia Nunes Alves da Mata Leitão
Inês Leitão is a Law student at the University of Lisbon, Portugal. Before studying Law, she studied Management in high school, where she discovered Model United Nations and consequently developed a great interest in politics, international relations and law. She has participated in Model UN since 2021 and believes that MUN can change lives. In addition to her part-time work, as a student, her biggest goal is to bring the MUN community to Portugal and challenge young Portuguese citizens to be more active in shaping society. Her primary objective is to leave New York knowing that WIMUN was beneficial for all participating delegates and that it had a unique impact on their lives.

Lauryne is a student in International Management specializing in International Relations at Geneva Business School. She has been interning at WFUNA as an Education and Training Assistant, where she discovered a passion for MUN, youth empowerment, and relationship management. Matthew Davies
Having studied towards his Bachelor degree between the UK, Canada and Germany, Matthew quickly developed a passion for International Relations and Global Citizenship. Despite his Management major, his studies have delved into the likes of technology policy, export-led development, and even energy infrastructure! He is currently an active Member of the TUM Model UN, previously acting as their Head of Recruitment and leading delegations at conferences across Europe. Through his work at WIMUN, Matthew hopes to share his love for MUN with the next generation of policy-makers. Outside of MUN and continuously travelling, Matthew has interned at a major bank, and is continuously on the hunt to find the best café in the world.

Maxine Moreau
Maxine Moreau is an international relations undergraduate with a masters on European and International Governance with a specific interest in migration and refugee international law. Maxine is currently a Human Rights intern in the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic in front of the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. She aspires to be in the humanitarian field and helping with refuge camps and asylum seekers. Being from 5 different nationalities which include: Mexican, French, Dominican, German and American; Maxine is a strong believer in the unity of cultures and mindsets in a multilateral environment to work best in finding international solutions. Apart from her professional life, Maxine loves musical theatre and is a Disney adult, Potter head and a Marie and DC fan. She listens to all kinds of music and loves to change music recommendations and playlists! Having experience in charing and helping organize other MUN conferences also including WIMUN Maxine is super excited to embark on this journey on Conference Management and make the WIMUN experience as unforgettable to people as it was for her!

Natania Blair
Natania’s passion for community development and outreach led her to a vibrant career in Event Management. As an Event Coordinator, she helps bring to life amazing events in Canada, for numerous Canadian and international organizations. Natania is a proud graduate of Saint Mary’s University in Nova Scotia, Canada, where she achieved her degree in Science, graduated on the Deans List of Academic Excellence and represented her graduating class as Valedictorian for the Faculty of Science. Natania has been actively involved in Model UN since 2016, and was elected as UN club president at her high school. She has participated in numerous WIMUN conferences as a delegate and was presented with diplomacy awards. Natania joined the WIMUN secretariat team as Secretary General in 2020, and looks forward to returning in 2025 as a Conference Management Officer.

Rianna Taite, born in Kingston, Jamaica, is a graduate with a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Saint Mary’s University in Canada. With a profound passion for healthcare, Rianna is actively pursuing a career in this field, driven by her commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing medical research. Rianna’s involvement with the World International Model United Nations (WIMUN) began in 2019 during her high school years in Jamaica, where she adeptly represented Colombia as a delegate. This experience sparked a deep appreciation for WIMUN’s mission and activities. In recognition of her dedication and skills, Rianna will serve as a Conference Office Manager at WIMUN 2025, contributing her expertise and leadership to the esteemed organization.

Ryan Mitra
Ryan is the Monitoring Associate for South Asia and the Pacific at the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre. Along with completing his Masters in International Affairs at the Graduate Institute Geneva, he has previously worked with UN OHCHR and the Norwegian Refugee Council. He specialises in maritime studies, climate change and international law, and displacement and refugee affairs. His particular areas of interest focus on Asian geopolitics, sovereignty and territoriality in the context of climate change and internal displacements.

Subham Kumar Agarwal
Subham is a 24 year economist from India, whose WIMUN journey began in 2018 at WIMUN India. Formerly a Senior Associate at Bain and Company, he now spearheads initiatives decentralizing oncology in East Africa. He is passionate about healthcare, world politics and traveling. He wishes that just as WIMUN changed his life, may it inspire transformative experiences for all participants.

Anastasija Sariceva
Anastasija is a Russian-Latvian student studying Creative Media and Game Technologies in the Netherlands. While her primary passion is Game Development, she also has a keen interest in filmmaking, working on various film projects in her spare time. Born in Latvia, Anastasija has lived in the United States, where she participated in numerous cultural projects. Her diverse experiences and background provide her with a unique and rich cultural perspective. Anastasija brings this valuable insight to WIMUN, enhancing her ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and contribute to a more dynamic and inclusive environment.

Camila Victoria Serrato
Victoria is a 19-year-old medical student at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo in Morelia, Mexico. She’s passionate about science and international affairs, leading to an increased interest in human rights and healthcare access in all corners of the world. She has over 8 years of experience as a delegate and Secretariat Member of numerous MUNs in Mexico, the U.S. and Geneva. She’s currently doing research on coagulopathy in SARS-CoV-2 virus infection and assisting her University’s Laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Biology. While serving as a Public Information Officer for WIMUN 2025, she hopes to make the Model an exciting and useful experience for the delegates where they can thrive in a multicultural environment and learn to be diplomatic while working towards a common goal.

Kees is a Peruvian/Dutch filmmaker with a bachelor’s in communications and currently following a masters in script writing. His main focus is on writing, directing and editing for fiction. His goal is to keep growing as a filmmaker and make movies around the world. This is his first participation in WIMUN where he will be taking the role of the videographer.

Lifu Hu
Lifu Hu, originally from Chengdu, China, is now based in New York and is a dedicated photographer who skillfully captures moments through her lens. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic engineering from Chongqing University of Technology, and a Masters of Professional Studies in Digital Photography degree from the School of Visual Arts. Lifu focuses on conceptual photography, still life, and documentary photography, creating visually captivating stories that leave a lasting impression.
