Vice Chairs Election (GA4) Abdullah Almodaimigh
Vice-Chairs play a key role at Global Model UN Singapore 2026, supporting the Chair throughout all simulation sessions and helping guide delegates toward consensus. The position requires patience, adaptability, and a strong commitment to upholding accurate United Nations procedure. There are no strict prerequisites for becoming a Vice-Chair; we value the diverse experiences delegates bring and seek candidates who can work closely with Chairs to enhance the quality of each simulation.
All simulations follow a formal voting process, regardless of the number of Vice-Chair candidates. Even in cases with only one candidate, the result is not automatic, and an “Abstain” option is provided to ensure meaningful participation. A valid result requires meeting a minimum participation threshold, calculated as a proportion of registered delegates in each simulation. If the threshold is not met, the vote may be declared invalid and further procedural steps may follow. Where two candidates are present, the candidate receiving the highest number of valid votes will be selected.
