New York City is home to the world’s largest diplomatic community. A global center of power, the United Nations headquarters feature the iconic Secretariat building, the General Assembly as well as the Security Council.

Geneva
Geneva, Switzerland, located in the heart of Europe, has the highest concentration of global stakeholders and institutions. It is home to 93 international organizations and bodies, more than 250 NGOs and 173 State representations. What is decided in Geneva has “direct and daily impact on every person on this planet in any 24- hour period” according to Michael Moller, Director General of the UN Office at Geneva.

Vienna
Vienna, Austria is where the United Nations established its third headquarters in January 1980. Housed at the Vienna International Center, the location is easily accessible from the middle of the city. The capital of Austria serves additionally as an intellectual and cultural center of Europe.

Washington, DC
Washington, D.C. (as part of a dual-city experience with our training program in New York), the national capital of the United States, is also home to a number of important international institutions. The United Nations has a handful of satellite offices in Washington, DC. The Bretton Woods institutions – the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund – as well as more than 170 foreign embassies are headquartered here.
