Staff Testimonials

Whether your goal is to pursue international relations, build confidence, or create a global network of friends, I couldn’t recommend Global Model more.Along the way, I’ve developed my skills in B2C marketing and leadership in a way that goes far beyond a line on a CV, although that’s certainly a bonus. More importantly, I’ve built friendships across the world that I know will last, alongside a body of work I’m genuinely proud of. If you’re considering it, take the leap.

Global Model provided me with far more than an introduction to the United Nations. It offered a structured, high-level environment to develop both my understanding of international relations and my professional skillset. After participating as a delegate, I returned as a Chair, Vice-Chair, and most recently as Assistant Secretary-General for ECOSOC Policy, taking on increasing responsibility in guiding debate and shaping committee outcomes. These experiences played a direct role in securing an internship with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), where I now work from their New York Headquarters and engage with staff, fellow interns, and occasionally government representatives. It’s an experience that bridges simulation and reality, offering a level of exposure and growth that extends well beyond the conference itself.

Working as a videographer at Global Model meant filming in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, often with tight turnaround times across constantly changing settings. It pushed me to think on my feet, adapt quickly, and capture moments that truly mattered as they unfolded. There’s something incredibly surreal about producing work at this level, in a setting like the United Nations. It’s been not just an exciting opportunity, but a defining addition to my portfolio.

Global Model turned international cooperation into something deeply personal. Beyond working with colleagues from around the world, I built friendships that stretch across time zones, the kind where, no matter the hour, you can pick up your phone and know there’s someone, somewhere, ready to talk, to laugh, or to meet. Wherever I travel, I know there’s a familiar face waiting for me. I can’t imagine my life without Global Model.

Being part of the Policy team at Global Model offers a rare insight into how the United Nations actually operates. You learn directly from current and former UN officials while leading high-stake simulations where debates are intense and every decision carries weight. More than guiding discussion, you’re pushing delegates to think critically, engage diplomatically, and rise to a standard far beyond a typical Model UN.
