Meet the Secretariat
Global Model UN Singapore 2026

Secretary-General

Gooi Min Hsian

Gooi Min Hsian (Michelle), from Malaysia, will be serving as the Secretary-General of Global Model UN Singapore 2026, leading the vision and direction of a conference built on dialogue, imagination, and purpose. An artist and educator by training, she also holds a Master’s degree with Honours in International Management, with a background spanning education, psychology, and marketing. This multidisciplinary foundation shapes her people-centred, creative approach to youth leadership and international engagement.

Michelle’s journey through the Global Model and WFUNA ecosystem has been guided by a belief in the power of stories, both in how we understand the world and in how we learn to change it. She has previously served as Under-Secretary-General for Global Communications at WIMUN New York 2026, 2025, WIMUN Singapore 2025, Director of Communications for Global Model WHO 2025, and continues her work as the Communications and Marketing Consultant for WFUNA, helping shape how global conversations are told, seen, and remembered.

As Secretary-General, Michelle is committed to creating a conference experience that is not only rigorous and realistic, but also deeply human. She believes that before leaders shape policy, they learn to listen, to question, and to communicate with empathy and clarity. Through Global Model UN Singapore 2026, she hopes to offer every delegate more than a simulation: a space to grow, to find their voice, and to begin writing the stories that will define the leaders of tomorrow, long after the final gavel falls.
