WIMUN Singapore 2026: Official Dates Announced

WFUNA announces that WIMUN Singapore will take place from August 11 to 15, 2026, at the Suntec Convention Center.

Building on the success of the 2025 conference, WIMUN Singapore 2026 will once again bring together students and young professionals from around the world to engage in a realistic simulation of the United Nations. Delegates will participate in structured debates, negotiate resolutions, and learn about international decision-making through the WIMUN approach, recognized as the most accurate model of the UN process.

A Look Back: WIMUN Singapore 2025

The inaugural WIMUN Singapore 2025 marked an exciting milestone as the first WIMUN conference held in Singapore and in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 400 delegates from over 35 countries gathered for four days of discussions and collaboration.

Delegates represented six UN bodies and agencies:

  • Commission on Population and Development (CPD)
  • International Labour Organization (ILO)
  • Fourth Committee of the General Assembly (GA4)
  • Sixth Committee of the General Assembly (GA6)
  • World Health Assembly (WHA)
  • UN Environment Assembly (UNEA)

Each simulation focused on current global issues, including sustainable development, public health, environmental protection, and international law. Through these sessions, participants practiced diplomacy and consensus-building in line with UN procedures.

Key moments included:

  • An Opening Ceremony with remarks from WFUNA officials, regional representatives, and local partners.
  • Simulation sessions centered on negotiation and collaboration.
  • Workshops and networking events on leadership and multilateral engagement.
  • Cultural visits to Gardens by the Bay and Sentosa Island.
  • A Closing Ceremony recognizing delegates’ contributions and commitment to the UN’s mission.

Looking Ahead to 2026

WIMUN Singapore 2026 will continue to serve as a platform for dialogue and learning in global affairs. The conference will offer delegates opportunities to deepen their understanding of diplomacy and international cooperation while connecting with peers from diverse backgrounds.

More details about registration, committee topics, and program highlights will be announced soon.

WFUNA looks forward to welcoming delegates back to Singapore in August 2026.
