Geneva, Switzerland | 26 – 28 August 2026

Reclaiming Multilateralism

WFUNA will convene its 44th Plenary Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, from August 26–28, 2026, hosted at the World Health Organization Headquarters, Avenue Appia 20, 1211 Geneva, Switzerland.

Held under the theme “Reclaiming Multilateralism,” the Plenary will bring together United Nations Associations from around the world to reflect on WFUNA’s shared mission, strengthen collaboration across the UNA network, and shape the next chapter of civic engagement in support of the United Nations.

At a time when global cooperation faces renewed challenges, the Plenary Assembly will serve as an important space for dialogue, governance, exchange, and collective action among WFUNA members. The gathering will also take place alongside WFUNA’s World Congress 2026, marking a meaningful moment of renewal for the People’s Movement for the United Nations.

Through high-level discussions, participatory sessions, and exchanges of promising practices, participants will consider how to reclaim and strengthen multilateralism for the next 80 years.
