Introduction
Welcome to the Global Model WHO, jointly organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) at the WHO Headquarters. Join us for five immersive days of engaging debate, hands-on collaboration, and meaningful dialogue with WHO experts as you tackle the most pressing global health challenges of our time.
Set against the backdrop of Geneva’s stunning landscapes and the iconic Jet d’Eau fountain, the conference venue is within walking distance of many of the city’s historic landmarks and cultural attractions. As a global hub for international diplomacy, Geneva is home to leading institutions such as the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as numerous diplomatic missions and non-governmental organizations. This makes it the ideal setting for meaningful dialogue and impactful global health discussions.
During their free time, attendees can explore the city’s rich history, vibrant culture, and major sights, including the Palais des Nations, Geneva’s Old Town, or the famous Flower Clock. Discover local treasures at the city’s markets and unwind amidst the natural beauty of Lake Geneva.

Visas
Participants are responsible for procuring their visa to enter Switzerland through their local embassy or consulate. WHO and WFUNA are not responsible for securing participants’ visas and will not be able to assist in the process. It is also the responsibility of each participant to determine which visa category they need to apply for. We recommend consulting with the Swiss embassy or consulate nearest to you.

Letter of Invitation
Please fill out this form if you need an official Letter of Invitation from WFUNA to assist in the process of visa application or fundraising. We will process your request and return a PDF Letter of Invitation to the email address you provide at our earliest opportunity. Please note: The Letter of Invitation is NOT a visa letter, and WFUNA is unable to provide a Letter of Invitation to those who have not registered and submitted payment for the conference. In special cases where a letter stating intent of application is needed in order to secure funding, we will review those requests and reach out to delegates for additional information (proof of student status, such as a student ID or a letter from the school, may be required). Submitting the form multiple times will also elongate processing time and could result in a delay, so please only submit the form once.
