Our Fall Online Conference will be filled with various side events, unlike anything you have seen at a WIMUN or other Model UN conferences before! One of the benefits of offering our conference online is that we can leverage technology to allow you to interact with other delegates from around the world as well as real UN diplomats and staff, no matter where in the world you are.
We are currently in the process of finalizing these side events, but we can promise they will include interesting speakers from the UN and elsewhere and fun online socials to meet new people. Some of the events we are working on bringing to you include a live virtual tour of the UN, a virtual edition of our famous Global Experience, as well as new events such as a college fair to introduce you to different options for college, how to apply for UN jobs and internships, and more!
The simulations of different UN bodies will take place over two weekends (31 October - 1 November and 7-8 November 2020), and side events will occur during the week from 2-6 November 2020, in between the weekend simulations. By doing these during the week, delegates will be able to engage with WIMUN far beyond the conference hours, all on a voluntary basis. We know how diverse WIMUN is and will make events available in multiple time zones, meaning you can choose events that best meet your interests in your time zone or attend the same event multiple times and meet different people attending the conference each time.
Our Fall Online Conference allows you, the delegates and FAs, to customize your WIMUN experience and make it more engaging than ever before! To be the first to know about our side events in detail, follow our posts on social media and this page regularly for updates! If you have any ideas of side events you would like to see, we would love to hear them. Just send them to: email@example.com
