NEW YORK, NY - After sustained engagement over the past few years, WFUNA formalized a new partnership agreement with the Challenges Forum - a global network of Partners representing 47 peace operations organizations and departments from 22 countries, which serves as a strategic and dynamic platform for constructive dialogue among leading policymakers, practitioners and academics on key issues and developments in UN Peace Operations.
WFUNA has been an active participant in recent Challenges Forum events, and was able to invite representatives from our Youth Network and youth programs to attend the 20th Anniversary Event in New York at the beginning of May.
Through this new partnership, WFUNA will continue to explore ways to further involve civil society in the work of UN Peace Operations, with a special focus on ensuring the active participation of youth in future events.
