Monica Burba

Prior to her work at WFUNA, Monica witnessed the potential of education to empower youth while serving as a high school teacher with Teach For America. She also partnered with The World Bank and Economic Development and Global Education, LLC. in Bangladesh to encourage young women to seek technical training, promoting social entrepreneurship and education. This experience, along with a research fellowship studying women leaders in Kuwait, stirred in Monica a strong interest in promoting development and global interconnectedness. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies and Sustainability from Arizona State University Barrett Honors College.
