Alexei Borisov served as the first Deputy Chairman of the Russian United Nations Association. Founded in 1956, the Russian United Nations Association is an international public organization created with the aim of "assisting in every possible way the achievement of the goals and principles proclaimed by the UN Charter", as well as active participation "in building confidence and friendship between states and peoples." Alexei Borisov now serves as Vice President of the World Federation of United Nations Associations's Executive Committee.
