New York, NY – Since the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2015, and amidst a growing number of champions, three Member State led initiatives have advocated for efficient implementation and reporting on SDG 16+: the Global Alliance for Reporting Progress on Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies, and the 16+ Forum.
The Urban Innovation Challenge: Citypreneurs is a young SDGs start-up competition in Seoul for prospective entrepreneurs from around the world interested in solving urban issues in Seoul and achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). WFUNA will co-host the challenge with UN ESCAP, UNDP, WeGO, Seoul Metropolitan Government, Seoul Digital Foundation. Learn more about last year's winners here.

New York, NY – On May 22, 2018 the 16+ Forum hosted a side-event on the occasion of the 2018 ECOSOC Special Meeting, Inclusion in Process and Policy: Civil Society Participation and Partnership in Advancing SDG 16+, featuring the Permanent Mission of the Czech Republic, Georgia, and Timor-Leste.

In advance of the ECOSOC Special Meeting on 23 May, WFUNA's 16 Plus Forum, in partnership with the Permanent Missions of Czech Republic, Georgia, and Timor-Leste organized an event "Inclusion in Process & Policy: Civil Society Participation & Partnership in Advancing SDG 16+" on May 22 at UN Headquarters in New York. The event brought together over 60 member states and civil society representatives focused on the critical role of civil society in SDG 16+.
On March 27, 2017, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) co-hosted "What Makes a Successful Civil Society Project?" in partnership with the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). The event was an opportunity for civil society representatives to hear from UNDEF representatives about the lessons they've learned from over 10 years of project funding and evaluation experience.
