Q: When was WFUNA founded?
A:  WFUNA was founded in Luxembourg on 2 August, 1946 as the peoples movement for the United Nations, the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is the only international, non-governmental organization devoted entirely to the support of the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter.

Q: Can I join WFUNA?
A:  Yes, you can. You can join WFUNA through your country’s own United Nations Association. Being a member of your local UNA provides you with access to all the services of WFUNA.

Q:  How can I get in touch with my country's UNA?
A:  One way is to check out our member directory and make use of the contact information there.

Q:  What if my country does not have a UNA?
A:  Then it is time to take action! Article 2 C of the WFUNA Constitution provides:
"In countries where there is no United Nations Association, individuals, institutions and non-governmental organizations which accept the objectives set out in Article 1 of this Constitution are admissible as Individual or Collective Associates. The primary aim of associate status should be the establishment of a United Nations Association in the respective countries. Associates shall have observer status in the Plenary Assembly and in Regional Conferences."
